Our Authentication Process
Every item is carefully inspected not only when it is purchased, but again before it is listed on our website.
Our specialists examine each item based on multiple authentication criteria, including brand-specific characteristics, labels, stitching, materials, hardware, and construction details. Only items that meet our strict authentication standards are offered for sale.
To ensure consistent and accurate evaluations, we maintain an extensive internal archive of previously handled items. This archive serves as an important reference during both the authentication and inspection processes.
Condition Grading Guide
Every item is inspected at least twice: once when it is purchased and again before it is listed on our website.
To help you shop with confidence, each product is assigned a condition grade and includes detailed descriptions and easy-to-understand icons that clearly explain its condition. To help accurately represent each item's condition, we provide up to 20 detailed product photos.

Are all items authentic?
Yes. Every item offered for sale is individually assessed for authenticity and carefully inspected by our specialists.
What happens if an item is found not to be authentic?
If you believe an item purchased from PLAYFUL is not authentic, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order with your order number. We will carefully review your claim and provide a refund or other appropriate resolution, where appropriate, in accordance with our return policy .
Do you use third-party authentication?
Yes. Our authentication is primarily conducted by PLAYFUL's in-house specialists. For selected items or when additional verification is required, we may consult LUCE Co., Ltd. , a third-party authentication company and a member of the Association Against Counterfeit Product Distribution (AACD). This additional verification helps us maintain consistent authentication standards for luxury brands.
